Terms of Service

Service Description

MatrixReview is an automated code review tool that analyzes pull requests against your team's documentation, API and implementation semantics, security policies, and style guides. The service is provided by MatrixReview ("Provider").

Acceptance

By installing the MatrixReview GitHub App, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install the app.

Permitted Use

• You may use MatrixReview on any GitHub repository where you have administrative access.
• You are responsible for the accuracy and appropriateness of the documentation you provide to the system.
• You may not use the service to process content that violates applicable law.

Service Limitations

• MatrixReview provides automated suggestions, not legal, security, or architectural guarantees.
• Findings should be reviewed by qualified team members before acting on them.
• The service may experience downtime, rate limits, or processing delays.
• AI-generated findings (marked with 💭) are suggestions and may not be accurate.

Intellectual Property

• You retain all rights to your code, documentation, and repository content.
• The Provider retains all rights to the MatrixReview system, including its architecture, algorithms, and methods.
• Review findings generated by the service are provided for your use without restriction.

Data Protection

• All customer data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
• Source code is never permanently stored. Repository clones are processed in temporary directories and deleted immediately.
• PR diff data is automatically purged after 30 days.
• You may request full deletion of all your data at any time.
• You may export all your data in a portable JSON format at any time.
• A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available on request for customers subject to GDPR or similar regulations.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. The Provider does not guarantee that the service will identify all issues in your code, nor that findings will be free of false positives.

Limitation of Liability

The Provider shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of MatrixReview, including but not limited to damages from missed security vulnerabilities, incorrect findings, or service interruptions.

Free Access

MatrixReview is currently provided free of charge. The Provider reserves the right to modify features, pricing, or availability at any time.

Termination

You may terminate your use at any time by uninstalling the GitHub App. The Provider may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms or for any reason with reasonable notice.

Changes to Terms

These terms may be updated. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via the GitHub App or email.
